Runyang - Dongtai City

In August 2007, the company broke ground on its Dongtai Runyang Stevia High Tech Company Limited ("Runyang") processing facility in the Jiangsu Province city of Dongtai. The agricultural region around Dongtai is one of the largest and best stevia growing areas in China. The construction of Runyang was part of an agreement between GLG Life Tech Corporation and local governments to exclusively grow and manufacture stevia in these regions. This agreement is for 10 years. Phase one construction at Runyang was completed in December 2008. Utilizing new and innovative technology developed by the company's engineers, Runyang was able to nearly double its anticipated capacity and is currently able to process 18,000 metric tons of raw leaf (original plans anticipated 10,000 metric tons).

Runhai - Mingguang City

In August 2007, the company broke ground on Chuzhou Runhai Stevia High Tech Limited ("Runhai"), a processing facility in the Anhui Province city of Mingguang. The agricultural region around Mingguang is also one of the largest and best stevia growing areas in China. The construction of Runhai is part of an agreement between GLG Life Tech Corporation and local governments to exclusively grow and manufacture stevia in this area. Phase one construction at Runhai was completed in December 2008. Utilizing new and innovative technology developed by the company's engineers, Runhai was able to nearly double its anticipated capacity and is currently able to process 18,000 metric tons of raw leaf (original plans anticipated 10,000 metric tons).

Runde - City of Qingdao

December 2006, GLG acquired Qingdao Runde Biotechnology Company Limited ("Runde"), a leading manufacturer of high grade stevia. Runde possesses the technology to extract and refine stevia to levels of RA* 97+. For further information please read our press release.

*RA ratings indicate the level of Rebaudioside A, the pure, sweet component of the stevia leaf, present in the final stevia product.
